Manual vs. Automatic Allocation Mode Explained
Allocation Plan Part 2: Controlling Min/Max Target Management
Understanding the Min/Max Logic
The Min and Max values you set define your core stock strategy:
Min-Value (Trigger): If a store's stock drops below this number, Madden recognizes a need for stock replenishment.
Max-Value (Target): When replenishment is triggered, Madden recommends allocating enough units to bring the stock up to this target level.
Selecting the Allocation Mode
It's critical to determine how these target levels are managed over time. You control this using the Allocation Mode dropdown, which is located just above the Min/Max settings. This choice determines whether your targets are static or dynamically updated.
Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
Manual Mode | The Min and Max values you enter are static (fixed numbers) until you manually change them. |
Automatic Mode | Madden will recalculate the Min/Max values daily based on recent sales patterns, trends, and seasonality. |
Do Not Allocate | Immediately stops this product from receiving any allocation recommendations, regardless of stock levels. |
Remember to Save your selection after setting the mode.
