Madden Team

Introducing Jonas, the newest addition to Team Madden, easily identifiable by his charming Gothenburg accent. Having looked down this Eurotripping expat as our freshly appointed UX designer, Jonas is set to revolutionize your Madden experience. Join us in getting to know him a little better!

‍Hello Jonas, how did you end up at Madden?

I’ve ventured through consultancies and design agencies, building both experiences and products for international brands. A notable chapter was working with a logistics service tailored for e-commerce businesses, providing me with insights into Madden's realm."

Returning to Sweden after living some years in Amsterdam and Lisbon, I sought a change of pace from consulting. Startups had intrigued me for a while – the blend of freedom in a smaller company setting, the opportunity to solve interesting problems, and the chance for close interaction with active and eager users.

How did you get good at what you do?

I’ve designed things for as long as I can remember. In my early years, my focus and dream were set on becoming a car designer. Along the way, I've explored various facets of design – from the tangible world of physical design to the digital realm, encompassing installations and immersive experiences. Notably, I've crafted digital experiences showcased at events like CES and IFA, integrating AR and VR seamlessly into my design process.

I’ve always been nerdy about technology and love to optimize my workflows. This passion, and my love of having a 'smooth experience,' is something I strive to impart to the users of what I’m designing.

As a designer, I’ve always tried to stretch my limits, to contribute outside of the box designated to me. This has led me to delve into coding, and I've developed confidence in 'game dev style' C#. Recently, I've embraced the world of React/TypeScript coding as well.

What about your job would surprise people?

Navigating through the multitude of edge cases for any new feature often makes it feel like I’m in an ongoing battle with Murphy's Law.

Also, as someone working with fashion brands and titling myself as a 'Designer,' I think some might be surprised by my fairly bland sense of style when it comes to clothing.
