As an Machine Learning Engineer at Madden Analytics, you will play a central role in improving and maintaining our B2B SaaS platform for inventory planning and purchasing.

Your work will focus on optimizing our forecasting engine using Machine Learning algorithms and AI to produce accurate short- and long-term forecasts used in recommendations.

You will ensure that data flows are efficient and fast — a key factor in delivering the best possible recommendations to our fashion and sports brand customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise our current ML algorithms and AI models to improve the accuracy of our forecasting and recommendation engines

• Explore new ML / AI models and strategies to ensure Madden delivers state-of-the-art forecasts and recommendations

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure fast and efficient data processing in the application

• Contribute to the architecture and design of our data infrastructure to support scalability and reliability

• Collaborate with other developers to integrate new features and improvements across the stack

What We’re Looking For (Skills & Requirements)

Prior Experience

3-6 years of working and implementing machine learning algorithms and data pipelines in a production environment

Experience developing and optimizing forecasts and recommendation engines (or similar systems)

Meriting: Experience with full-stack web development

Specific Knowledge Areas

Broad knowledge of ML algorithms and time-series forecasting methods

Interest in AI/LLMs and eagerness to keep up to date with the latest innovations

Skills & Abilities

• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with leading ML libraries such as `numpy`, `pandas`, `scikit-learn`, `pytorch`, etc.

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and ClickHouse

• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team

Highly Meriting

• Experience working across the stack and contributing to data-, backend- (Golang) and frontend- (TypeScript/React) development

• Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform)
